My Go To Make-up Look

I felt like mixing it up from my normal blog post and doing something different – so be patient with me!

I always find it interesting reading other peoples’ blog post about their skin care or how to do a make up look. So here I am giving you all in insight into mine!

Admittedly, I wish I had found the charger for my Canon 700D and used my ring light but I had to use my iPhone so I am aware the picture quality is not at its best!

First I always moisturise and prime my skin and I use the following products which can be picked up at most drug stores

I always use my Micellar Cleansing Water before applying my Nivea creme. This makes sure I have gotten rid of all oils and dirt which was lingering on my skin. Once that has all dried, I go in with my Nivea creme to give my face that extra moisture boost before primer.

I have two primers which I use. I go in with my Rimmel Fix&Perfect all over my face to give it that even base and then with my L’Oreal Infallible around the areas which I get most oily (T Zone). I have found this combo has really help my skin before applying my make up.

Next step is foundation since I don’t really go mad with my eyeshadow. I use the L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover foundation. This is a medium to high coverage foundation which has been very useful recently with my uneven skin tone and getting lots of red patchy areas. This foundation washes me out and makes me look like a ghost but it is handy for when you want to get that flawless base.

My favourite drug store concealer has to be the Collection Lasting Perfection. This has such a good coverage for the price. I pop this under my eyes, on my forehead and the bridge of my nose to highlight. I would use this to cover any pesky break outs showing through.

Next to set the base, I use my Rimmel Stay Matte powder under my eyes to bake and my L’Oreal True Match for the rest of my face to add additional coverage.

Because the foundation washes me out, I need to add colour to my face! My Bobbi Brown bronzer is a life saver (big thanks to my sister for this present). I sweep this over the top of my forehead, my cheekbones and under my jaw line to disguise that double chin!

Now for the fun part – contour and highlight! I use the Makeup Revolution palette for my contour and their double highlighter. The contour goes under my cheekbone to give them more of a stand out and then smother my cheekbones, tip of my nose and cupids bow with highlight. This drugstore highlight is amazing and is really workable for that desired highlight!

I have two eyeshadow palettes which are my go-to! I like to mix and match the colours from both.  I use a matte light brown in my crease first and build it up with darker colours. For my lid I always use a shimmer brown or shimmer rose gold. These colours always make my blue eyes stand out! I take a little bit of my highlight for my inner corners. Lash Sensation is my holy grail mascara, I can not get over how full and long my lashes look afterwards!

NYX Liquid Suede is my ultimate favourite liquid lipstick. It doesn’t dry down to an uncomfortable feel and is so pigmented. Will take this everywhere with me.

Now I forgot to do my eyebrows until the very end because I thought something looked difference! I have been using this Saffron palette which my mum got me for Christmas and I honestly love it. So easy to use and hardly any fall out.  Always finish with my trusty L’Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist to make sure my make up stays in place all day. Made the mistake of not shaking the bottle once and ending up looking like someone has splatter white paint all over my face!

So now you know, this is how I do my everyday makeup when I can be bothered to do it!

What’s your favourite make up product you would recommend?

Until Next Time
